Battle of New Orleans

This was a battle which was fought after the end of the war of eighteen twelve in which British troops tried to attack the city of New Orleans in an attempt to take over the Mississippi River. Some fact of the battle would include; The British having 7,500 soldiers up against Jackson's 4,500 troops, this was a massive victory for the Americans even though the war had already ended with the treaty of gent between Britain and Americ

  3. This battle took place on January 8, 1815
  4. Many of Jackson's troops were expert marksman that destroyed the British troops
  5. In less than half an hour Americans killed more than 2,000 British troops and only taking about 70 casualties
This was the Last battle between the British and Americans for the War of 1812
